90 Points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - Heitz's 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is predominantly St. Helena fruit, but it includes grapes from other AVAs as well. With its cherry notes and some darker, more cassis-like nuances, hints of dried herbs and dusty earth, it's pretty classic old-school Cabernet. Medium to full-bodied, it's linear, silky and fine, avoiding any sense of jammy excess.

From the winery - The 2017 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon offers a beautiful aromatic display of bright red fruits such as fresh strawberries, sun-dried pomegranate, and raspberries, supported by savory notes of sandalwood, cedar, and herbs de Provence. The body of this pure varietal Cabernet Sauvignon evokes elegance and freshness, a telltale characteristic of the vintage, with a dense core that will support aging in the cellar. The structure of soft and supple tannins results from the classic winemaking style at Heitz Cellar, achieved by allowing patient aging for two whole years in barrel and one full year in bottle before release.
